Hi Imogen – I really like your website, and first came across it when a US blogger mentioned it. bloggingis truly internationla! what I would like to know more about is that you mention 18 colour groups rather than the 4 seasons. Can you explain that a bit more?

    thanks

Hi. I recently came across your site. I appreciated your body shapes posts. My problem is photographs! I am petite but a bit busty. I always look very top heavy in pictures. Any advice on what colors and styles to wear when taking pictures? In your body shapes system I am a V but luckily I do have a visible waist.

I’m sure Imogen will have a great answer, but can I put my 5 cents in? I think this is happening because people taking your picture from up above ( with you being petite ) and it throws the proportions out. If they take a picture from a point closer to the ground, then the results should be much better :)

      • Bela Saudade says:

Lena you are a wise woman indeed. I will have to break out my tri-pod and fool around with the angles a bit. Maybe that combined with some tips from Imogen can finally get me a picture where my breasts don’t take up half the frame ? I can’t tell you how many times a relative has seen a picture of me and then seen me in person and said in surprise “oh you’re tiny- I thought you had put on A LOT of weight!” Annoying.

One more question for Imogen? What is the best way for an Inverted Triangle to wear a belt?
I know belts can be tricky since their width and placement can either be flattering and help to create an improved silhouette and impression of a waist OR placed wrong can actually make you look thicker.
I’ve seen thin belts worn higher than the waist and thicker belts worn very low (hip slung) and that seems to work for a lot of Vs. Curious on your thoughts Imogen, because I’ve read some advice stating V’s shouldn’t wear belts at all.
