A: you can widen the armscye by adding to the sideseams of bodice ( e.g spreading them apart a bit ). It will also give you more ease.
Q: what is an FBA?
A: FBA stands for Full Bust Adjustment. It is used to accommodate larger breasts. Standard pattern is drafted for a “B” cup. If you are larger than “B” then you will need an FBA.
Q: what is an armscye?
A: Armscye is where you put your arm when you put on the top.
Q: how to widen neckline on pattern?
A: You can widen a neck by cutting away a shoulder line. It is the easiest way.
Q: can I iron damp fabric to dry it?
A: I’d attempt it with linen and cotton only.
Q: is there a typical armscye width?
A: The armscye width depends on the type of your sleeve and amount of ease. So no, there is no such thing as typical armscye width, but there is a ratio between the girth of the arm ( or the width of your chosen sleeve) and the armscye. All about the ratios and calculations here.
